Sports and Visual Skills
Superior sports vision skills are just as important to an athlete’s success as strong muscles. Athletes have to be able to process visual information very quickly so that they can respond to it. The great news is that, like muscles, some visual skills can be improved with practice.
Sports vision testing evaluates skills such as dynamic visual acuity (the ability to see moving objects clearly), eye tracking, depth perception, peripheral vision, eye-hand-body coordination, and visual reaction time.
At iCare, all tests are performed in-house in our state-of-the-art sports lab whilst playing a series of games such as Rugby, Cricket or even Baseball. Our team can identify visual weaknesses and create a training programme to help improve your performance.
Whether you’re a professional athlete or someone who enjoys recreational sport, proper vision assessment and training can make a significant difference to your game. Contact iCare today to find out more.
